We enjoyed our meal tonight! Started with cocktails, which we both liked; the dirty martini was a good size and the hubs always enjoys an old fashion; their spiced version was a nice twist. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, cold, and the sauce was vibrant. We both had the Cesar salad, and let me just stop here for a sec... While it was very good, tangy, and everything you want in a salad dressing, they served it on whole leaves and with one whole cruton. So, we had to cut our salad with a knife in order to eat it. Let me just say, while I can appreciate a good deconstructed salad, I don't want to have to work this hard on the salad course. It sort of ruined the flow of the meal. Instead of casually talking over the salad, we had to stop to cut it up and make sure we weren't making a mess of the whole thing. That's my only criticism of the evening.
I had the filet and hubs had the dry aged ribeye, which he enjoyed very much. The sauces were on point and the sides, (asparagus and horseradish mashed potatoes) l have to say, were some of the best I've had here in Baton Rouge. It was quiet, our server was just attentive enough, and overall it was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. They offered us a free dessert, but we declined...we were happily stuffed! As far as steak joints go, this place is tops and I'd definitely recommend it. We will definitely be back. Oh, and it's expensive. Oh and also, it was game night so basically empty, so no problem with wait times for anything, yay! -

The service here is hit or miss. More times a miss, as of late, than a hit. My family has frequented this restaurant many times. We had a reservation for 5 at 8:30pm on Friday May 10th to celebrate my daughters college graduation. Upon arrival, we were not seated until 9:15pm in spite of there being many open tables. When seated we immediately ordered our meals. 1hr and 15mins later I asked about the status of our food. Note: 3 times I had asked 2 servers to please refill our drink and water glasses as it had never been done. It was noted to our server, that all the remaining tables in the restaurant had their food, in spite of being seated long after us. In a terse tone our server advised that "they were doing the best they could". At 10:30pm I asked to speak to the manager. Approximately 10 mins later, he appeared. I expressed our displeasure with the service and pointed out all their shortcomings but mainly that we didn't have our food and had placed our order 1 1/2 hrs earlier. Shortly there after our food arrived. All the while, with empty glasses and nothing to drink on our table. The food was good and consistent as ordered. 2 additional times I requested,as follow up, that our drink glasses be refilled. It wasn't until my plate was removed from the table that my water glass was refilled. The manager came over and stated he would comp our meal due to the poor service which he readily admitted was unacceptable. As we prepared to leave we were presented with a $375 bill. I asked to speak with the manager to follow up on his offer and after waiting an additional 15 mins(now after 11pm) I made a decision to pay the bill in order to be able to leave.(we had elderly guests with us and needed to get them home). I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed I had brought guests to this establishment. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place all together. Baton Rouge is filled with great restaurants and poor service doesn't have to be tolerated. If I was able to give no or negative stars as a rating I would. Avoid at all costs.
PS- the women's bathroom was disgusting and the assistant manager readily admitted it was a big problem but was unable to get her staff to clean it up. -

Pretty bummed about this place! Poor service - over 1.5 hours for food to show up! 3 different servers at a table of about 15 people and zero coordination! I get asked for wine 6 times and the person sitting next to me has an empty glass for over 30 min before I finally ask the server to get him some wine! Also, I don't understand 4 different glasses for 4 different cabs! I mean I get that I wanted different wines, but the turn over tile to swap these glasses was so much! Someone asked for soy with their tuna, it showed up when he was left with 3 pieces of fish.
The food was very very average, my sea bass was not worthy the $40 I paid for it in any way. I liked the shrimp and potato mash appetizers and he crab cake was fresh but tiny portions.
Will I be back? Probably not. Compared to other steak houses around this place; there is no way this place will ever be on my go to list ever again. -

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. What better time to try a new restaurant than restaurant week?
This restaurant has a romantic ambiance about it. We looked over the menu and decided the restaurant week menu was the best deal. I ordered the 8 Oz filet, crab and shrimp bisque and banana foster bread pudding .
The service was not very good at all. I do have to have to admit it wasn't our waiters fault he never stopped moving. There were only 3 waiters for the whole restaurant! They need more wait staff bad. If you are paying that much to eat you should have great service!!!!!
I ordered a summertime cocktail it was pretty good the pineapple was very strong it kind of took over the whole drink. The bisque has a okay flavor but only one little piece of shrimp no lobster. The steak was delicious cooked perfectly, the potatoes were yummy and the vegetables were bland and uneventful lol. The bread pudding was delicious! The house steak sauce kind of tasted like bbq sauce.
All in all I probably will not return there are too many other restaurants I enjoy more for fine dining . The bathrooms needed to be cleaned and updated badly! -

So we checked out this local steakhouse...We had rib eye steak with additional $10 'surf' which was about 3 pieces of crab and extra butter, scalloped potatoes which were good along with lobster bisque, but I wouldnt get it again bc it was not as creamy with few pieces of crab. Both of the steaks were over cooked when med well was requested. They did offer to re cook it, but they took a long time to bring it out in the first place so we declined. In the end they comped this with coupon for free app next visit. Our waiter was nice, but he added an extra charge for a $12 margarita which was taken off after I pointed it out; not cool. I think Id rather spend time at another ideal steakhouse for it's worth. Kinda disappointed bc I really wanted to love the place.
